Print on demand. Yes or no? Make money from home online

In my previous post I mentioned print on demand as a means of income for artists. I suggested Merch by Amazon and Redbubble. There are many others and you should find the right one for you. I also like Teespring. They are much like Redbubble.  Print on demand is a fun way for artists to make money. You do not have to keep stock or worry about orders and shipping, because the Print on demand platform you chose handle all of those. All you have to do is be creative and draw/create great designs that people will want to buy on various items.  Do not use any copyrighted fonts and images, because you might get into trouble. Create as many designs as you can the more the better... I sell on Redbubble, because it's easy to set up your shop, upload your designs and start selling. Self promote your designs as much as possible using different platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest... The more you can attract potential customers to your shop the closer you are to getting

Artist Block no more! Tips to overcome Artist block.

Usually when I dont have the time I have so many ideas for artwork projects I want to start, but when I actually do have some free time I can't remember half of it. And then there's also that famous artist block. We all get it from time to time. There's a few steps you can take to overcome this block and start creating again... Here's what I do to get my creative juices flowing again: *Get more rest! I must admit this is a hard one for me because I'm a bit of a night owl, but one thing is for sure you can't focus on something when you are tired. Recharge a bit!😀 *Go through your old sketchbooks. Even those that you now feel aren't any good because you just might get inspired or get an idea for a stunning artwork. It's also nice to look back at old sketches and see how far you've come. *Take a break. Why not? Sometimes you really just need the break. After a well deserved break you may have that creativity flowing again and feel ready to start that n

a Few ways for Artists to make money.

How can you make money from your art?  There are many answers to this question. The right one is the one that suits you best. In my opinion it was easier before the pandemic to make art and sell local, but due to job losses and economic conditions it's much harder now. This is a tough time but also the motivation I needed to expand my knowledge. I started looking at ways for an artist to make money online.  My first project was to create or publish a book on Amazon KDP. This was a whole new learning process for me, but if you already know how to use some programs you may be well on your way. Many people are very successful with selling their books on Amazon. To be honest it takes time and you need to put in the effort. Some books sell better than others and once you know which ones are more successful you can focus more on that niche. It's very important to promote your books because there are already so many books on Amazon which makes it harder for buyers to notice your book.

Derwent Inktense Pencils

Derwent Inktense Pencils. These pencils are very unique...They are watersoluble but definitely not like other watersoluble pencils. The reason I say they aren't the same as the rest is because once you've activated them with water they can't be re-activated. This means you can add layer over layer over layer. Just make sure you fully activate them because if there are still some dry pigment left they may smear or get activated when you do the next layer. The Derwent Inktense pencils are very vibrant. The colors in this range is lovely. The biggest set they come in is 72 colors. This may not sound like a lot of colors but the nice thing about these pencils are you can mix your colors. This also allows you to purchase a smaller set and still make beautiful artworks. You can mix them dry or wet but the magic does not end here. You can use these pencils on material and a lot of other surfaces aswell. Derwent also made Derwent Inktense Ink Blocks and these you can use as paint

Artist Colored Pencil Chart

Every Artist needs a Swatchbook! When you're an Art Supply addict like me and you have many pencil sets in your collection you may need to do swatches to keep track of all the colors of each set.  With swatches to go back to it makes your next artwork just easier. It's very frustrating to search for that one color you just had. And also it makes it a little easier to just take a peek and see what colors would be perfect. So I decided to make a swatches book. This way we can take this book along and easily find the best colors for our new artwork.  No more loose paper swatches laying around.  Buy my book here :  Artist Colored Pencil Chart

Derwent Graphitint Pencils

Derwent Graphitint Pencils 24 Set :  Derwent Graphitint Pencils. Love these! And no they aren't s cratchy they have a softer point than I imagined they would have. Beautiful colors also. The biggest set has 24 colors. Smaller set of 12 also available. You can also buy these open stock which is great. This is a watersoluble graphite pencil that has color pigment added to the graphite. Can you imagine... What an interesting combination. Also beautiful looking pencils with a great design!  Derwent also made Paint Pan Palettes for those who love to paint!                Buy these pencils here:    Derwent Graphitint 24 Set                                  Derwent Graphitint 12 Set Derwent Graphitint Paint Palette Derwent Graphitint 24 Set Derwent Graphitint 24 Set - Swatches Derwent Graphitint 12 Set Tin Derwent Graphitint 24 Set Tin The First Artwork I made with these pencils -  Had a lot of fun drawing this fish.  The Graphitint pencils have more of a toned down color which I love f
