a Few ways for Artists to make money.

How can you make money from your art?  There are many answers to this question. The right one is the one that suits you best. In my opinion it was easier before the pandemic to make art and sell local, but due to job losses and economic conditions it's much harder now. This is a tough time but also the motivation I needed to expand my knowledge. I started looking at ways for an artist to make money online.  My first project was to create or publish a book on Amazon KDP. This was a whole new learning process for me, but if you already know how to use some programs you may be well on your way. Many people are very successful with selling their books on Amazon. To be honest it takes time and you need to put in the effort. Some books sell better than others and once you know which ones are more successful you can focus more on that niche. It's very important to promote your books because there are already so many books on Amazon which makes it harder for buyers to notice your book.

Derwent Inktense Pencils

Derwent Inktense Pencils. These pencils are very unique...They are watersoluble but definitely not like other watersoluble pencils. The reason I say they aren't the same as the rest is because once you've activated them with water they can't be re-activated. This means you can add layer over layer over layer. Just make sure you fully activate them because if there are still some dry pigment left they may smear or get activated when you do the next layer. The Derwent Inktense pencils are very vibrant. The colors in this range is lovely. The biggest set they come in is 72 colors. This may not sound like a lot of colors but the nice thing about these pencils are you can mix your colors. This also allows you to purchase a smaller set and still make beautiful artworks. You can mix them dry or wet but the magic does not end here. You can use these pencils on material and a lot of other surfaces aswell. Derwent also made Derwent Inktense Ink Blocks and these you can use as paint

Artist Colored Pencil Chart

Every Artist needs a Swatchbook! When you're an Art Supply addict like me and you have many pencil sets in your collection you may need to do swatches to keep track of all the colors of each set.  With swatches to go back to it makes your next artwork just easier. It's very frustrating to search for that one color you just had. And also it makes it a little easier to just take a peek and see what colors would be perfect. So I decided to make a swatches book. This way we can take this book along and easily find the best colors for our new artwork.  No more loose paper swatches laying around.  Buy my book here :  Artist Colored Pencil Chart
